Endovenous Laser Ablation Treatment
Endovenous Laser Ablation or Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLA/EVLT) is a minimally invasive option for treating saphenous vein incompetence or saphenous vein reflux. This in-office procedure usually takes about an hour and utilizes laser energy to ablate, or destroy, the dysfunctional vein. A local anesthetic or light sedative may be used during the procedure.
With the VenaCure™ laser vein treatment, a small optic fiber is inserted through a catheter into the varicose vein under ultrasound guidance. The laser is activated and as the optic fiber is removed from the vein, it heats and closes the vein. Once the vein is closed, the blood that was circulating through that vein is naturally re-routed to other healthy veins. Over time, the closed vein will be absorbed by the body.
When considering Endovenous Laser Ablation, be sure to see a vein specialist with an ample amount of laser experience. The procedure requires a delicate touch and thorough knowledge of the venous system in order to assure successful vein closure and minimal pain. Laser treatment is much less painful than vein ligation and stripping, procedures that we refuse to perform at Advanced Vein Institute of Arizona, and it has a much shorter recovery time.

"I don't ever leave reviews unless it's a wonderful or horrible experience. I can't recommend this place enough if you are experiencing pain from varicose veins. I HATE going to any medical facility for any reason. Mostly because I spend lots of time waiting only to meet with someone who wants to get you out the door in minutes. Not so with any of the staff here.
Jilanne is so patient, caring and demonstrates great expertise. Karlea, Lucy and Beth are all excellent and made my experience easy and comfortable. I don't have a single complaint about anyone or thing about this place! Procedures are short and pain is minimal. My legs haven't felt this good in a long time. These ladies are all top notch and you would be crazy to go anywhere else."

"I was referred to another surgeon and he was rude and abrasive. I was lucky enough to find Dr Rose on the net and knew she was”the one” after my initial visit. Dr Rose is a very warm caring person and she and her staff are courteous and professional. After working as a nurse for forty years and being overweight I had multiple large/small varicose veins which are greatly improved after treatment. Highly recommend Dr Rose!!!"
